Benefits
Support groups can be a powerful healing resource, helping to mitigate the effects of sexual trauma. Through RVAP's support groups, participants can create connections in a safe space through a variety of activities and subjects.
Scheduled Support Groups
See desired group for more information and attendance instructions. If you're a person with a disability who requires an accommodation or a non-English speaker requiring interpretation services in order to participate, please contact RVAP in advance to arrange services.
Groups in Progress

Queer Art Healing Group
2nd and 4th Mondays
7:00 - 9:00 pm
At The Wesley Center
120 N Dubuque St, Iowa City, Iowa
Art is a great way to process emotions and trauma. Come create art with us! Participants will be shown new techniques and given prompts each week to work with. Whether you're a well-seasoned artist or certainly no Picasso, this group is for anyone interested in artistic healing. Art supplies will be provided, but people are
welcome to bring their own. Anyone can join at any time!
You are welcome to bring any craft project you want to work on. If you have artist's block, we also have a visual journal project that is facilitator led.
All people within the LGBTQIA community are welcome to join this group.
